Titan is the largest moon of Saturn and the second largest moon of any planet in the Solar System, larger even than the planet Mercury. Its atmosphere is denser than Earth’s and it is the only other object in the Solar System with clear evidence of stable bodies of surface liquid.
This image from the near-infrared imager NIRC-2 on the Keck II telescope, located on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, shows the clouds in Titan’s atmosphere. In conjunction with James Webb Space Telescope imaging, astronomers were able to capture the movement of these clouds over a period of 30 hours.
