Two if by sea, three if by ICE

Two if by sea, three if by ICE is a blue jelly nail polish packed with silver and blue reflective glitter and a touch of blue shimmer. 

Like so many of you, my heart is full of rage and sadness about the atrocities that have been committed in Minneapolis by ICE.

The name “Two if by sea, three if by ICE” references Paul Revere’s ride to warn the Minutemen about the coming of the British during the American Revolution. The Old North Church in Boston would put one lantern in the window if the British were coming by land, and two if they were coming by sea, hence the famous phrase, “One if by land, two if by sea.”

$4 from each polish will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). From their website: “The ACLU has been at the center of nearly every major civil liberties battle in the U.S. for more than 100 years. This vital work depends on the support of ACLU members in all 50 states and beyond.”

The ACLU’s work on immigration: “Your donation helps to fund strategic litigation, advocacy, and organizing needed to take on ICE and Border Patrol abuses and violations, help to pave a path to citizenship for thousands, and uphold all our civil liberties.”

This polish dries down with a gritty texture due to the reflective polish. Consider a peel-off base coat if you prefer an easier removal. To get the top smooth, consider a glitter smoother (sorry I don’t sell one yet). Three coats of my Quick Thinker Top Coat also did the trick.

Polishes should be stored in a cool and dark area. Shake well before use.
